Besides being a known title of another blog by some known celebrities, this was also what the last three days have been doing – driving the long way up towards the finale in just two weeks.
From Ushuaia and back into Ruta 40 in the Andes mountains – a stretch of 1.730km in three days – and it was long, flat, strait, hot and again a lot of needed time-killing inside the helmet planning, singing, whistling etc.
The primary reason for this is to bypass the long boring Ruta National 3 which can be very windy and cold. But again luck stroke – started in the south in 12 degr and clouds (but as always dry) and ended in 33 degr and bright sun. Day one was somewhat windy and besides also including a ferry and two border crossings, the 580 km was done but admittedly also crashed early. The wind really stresses your bike, mind and neck muscles.
Second day was a 710 km strait stretch with very fine weather and wind from south and south-West – so pushing me north. For the first time a local house owner did not follow the in-written rules on dollar/pesos calculations and wanted double … still acceptable price but a bit pissed …
Enjoy the pictures – a lot of flat lands next to the Atlantic Ocean.
